
How to visit Rennes without car


You want to get away for a weekend or more? Leave the daily grind behind and go car-free?
In Rennes it’s possible! The city of Rennes is very easy to reach if you want to arrive by train, bus or plane.
It’s easy to get to the Gayeulles campsite and to get around by bus, metro and bicycle with the STAR network!
A bus stop* (chronostar line) is located 500 metres from the campsite, and the nearest metro station is a 15-minute walk away.

Did you know that Rennes is the 3rd best equipped city in France for cycling?
From the campsite, you can easily reach the historic centre, located 5 kilometres away, by following a pleasant route along the greenway, passing through the Prairies Saint Martin.
There are also numerous cycle paths that make it easy to get around the centre.
For more information, or to hire bikes, the Maison du Vélo welcomes you at Rennes train station and there are many self-service bike stations throughout the city.
You want to spend a day in Saint-Malo or do some shopping for the week? You will find a Citiz car-sharing station 15 minutes walk away, where you can hire a self-service car for 1 hour, 1 day or more!
