In the Parc des Gayeulles


Covering around a hundred hectares to the north-east of Rennes, the Parc des Gayeulles is currently the town's biggest park. Situated in the heart of a natural landscape with wooded areas, lakes and glades, the park offers a wide range of outdoor leisure activities.

Not far from the Les Gayeulles campsite, you'll find the Le Blizz skating rink with an olympic rink and a "fun" rink, a family park, a pool looking out on the "sunbathing" lawns, 2 courses for running (3km and 5km), two bike paths as well as paths for those into walking. There are also picnic areas near the water ideal for any visitor.





 

Sports and Games

The park also has a rugby field and several football fields, three outdoor tennis courts, three indoor tennis courts and a ramp for skateboarders and roller skaters, miniature golf and areas specially fitted out for small children. It also features large lawns and a small beach near a very large lake where pedal boats are available.





 

Tree Climbing

In front of Les Gayeulles campsite, a tree climbing place will welcome you for great sensations in the nature. A qualified personnel will introduce you in aid of the equipment and to practice the safety procedures necessary for your evolution on the course.
 
3 courses adapted to ages and to physical capacities are proposed : entertaining for 2 in 6 years, family from 7 years and sensational from 9 years.

Le Blizz ice rink

Le Blizz is the skating are in Rennes. There are two areas in this immense 2700m²: The "fun" rink and the olympic rink, open every day and evening all year round. The small rink (52m x 20m) is often used by children or beginners. Modules allow ambiences for different games to be created. The large rink (60m x 30m) is used by the older and more experienced crowd. Hockey matches, figure skating, ice dancing and ringette take place at Le Blizz. With its two skating areas, Le Blizz is one of the few skating rinks in France, along with those of Montpellier and Grenoble, to combine fun skating, show and competition sports.

Swimming pool of Gayeulles

In 300 meters of the campsite, the new swimming pool of Gayeulles is located in a plant frame and divides into several spaces of activities : pond of swimming, wave swimming pool, pit of dive 10 meters deep, small ponds with water jets…

The Basses Gayeulles farm for children

The Basses Gayeulles farm welcomes children. You can see the animals by taking part in work on the farm: caring for the animals, milk processing, wool working, cider manufacturing. There are also deer, mountain sheep, goats and sheep nearby.
